Just like what Nokia did when they released the mini version of N97, with N97 mini. Sony Ericsson will be releasing on early 2010 their bugdet version of Sony Ericsson Satio (image above, credit: Sony Ericsson), the Sony Ericsson Kurara. Details and specifications of Sony Ericsson Kurara hasn’t been released but I guess it will be pretty much the same with their topnotch Satio but only this will be a budget version. The camera will be down to 8 megapixels compared to 12 megapixels of Satio. It is supposedly to feature a Symbian S60 5th generation OS Smartphone and full  3.5″ touchscreen display.

I bet you also noticed that Sony Ericsson doesn’t use model names like Cybershot or Walkman anymore, instead, they are trying exotic names such as Satio, Aino and now Kurara. I don’t know the reason behind this but we’re not yet sure if this one will be released as Kurara in the market, it might still change before its release.

Price of this smartphone from Ericsson hasn’t been identified but will surely be cheaper than Saito. I am looking forward of seeing this released soon especially here in the Philippines but we still have to wait for now.

Envy 13’s price in the US is $1700, that’s roughly around 80,000 pesos in the Philippines and HP Envy 15 is around $2000 or 95,000 pesos. I find it expensive and with its price, I am not sure if it can compete well with Macbook, considering the latter is more known when it comes to premium and professional laptops.
