HP Envy
HP released its new line of premium laptops with its new HP Envy. They recently released two models of HP Envy, the HP Envy 13 and HP Envy 15. I am not sure if the Macbook users will envy this new line of laptops from HP. HP Envy 13 and HP Envy looks like a clone of Macbook Pro with its striking resemblance to the latter.
ENVY 13 packs a powerful punch into a slim and stylish package starting at just 3.74 lbs. and less than 1″ thin.
The magnesium alloy bottom layer offers reduced weight, while a pure-grade aluminum chassis provides strength and durability. The Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor with SL9400 1.86 GHz lets you play Blu-Ray5 movies or edit video with lag-free performance, and with the optional ultra-high capacity battery slice offers up to 18 hours. The ENVY 15 is a powerhouse in disguise. Breaking free of the performance notebook mold, it boasts a light weight and sophisticated design.

But this beauty is also a beast. Envy features the new Intel® Core™ i7 processor which delivers ultimate mobile performance for the most demanding tasks from video editing to intense games. A 15.6″ diagonal Brightview widescreen display and ATI Mobility Radeon™ 4830 discrete graphics processor produce the clearest, brightest visuals for viewing Blu-Ray5 and 1080p content. [Credit:HP]
Envy 13’s price in the US is $1700, that’s roughly around 80,000 pesos in the Philippines and HP Envy 15 is around $2000 or 95,000 pesos. I find it expensive and with its price, I am not sure if it can compete well with Macbook, considering the latter is more known when it comes to premium and professional laptops.
With the release of HP Envy, expect HP to release HP Greed, HP Lust etc. Just Kidding.
